Substance has a long history of working with umbrella bodies and networks in the sport for development sector.

This has included work with Sported involving assessment and design of the Sportworks model to demonstrate the sector’s impact and value; development of a comprehensive outcome mapping and impact reporting framework for StreetGames, and development of a Rate Card and outcome monitoring framework our own multi delivery partner Chances programme.

  • The Chances Programme is co-commissioned by 21 local authorities and works with 16 delivery partners including professional football club community organisations and other youth, sport and training providers.

  • Providing accessible and attractive sport and physical activity offers for young people.

  • SportWorks, address health inequalities and strive to create healthier, more prosperous communities.
  • UK-wide movement of 400-plus charities and civil society organisations, leagues, clubs and networks over-arching thousands of programmes intentionally using targeted sport and physical activity-based interventions to address health and societal inequalities.
