Fishing for Answers was a 3 year research programme funded by the Big Lottery Fund which focused on angling’s contribution to six key areas: sports participation; health and well-being; the natural environment; community development; tourism and rural communities; and young people.
The Angling Trust, the Environment Agency, Get Hooked on Fishing, the Angling Trades Association and Newcastle University were all on the Advisory Group for the research. You can find all the project’s interim reports and a wealth of other evidence and data at our Angling Research Resources website
