In August, the Angling Trust published the findings of the research project we undertook on their behalf. The research was commissioned to look at angling participation, aiming to highlight and understand how more non-anglers can be encouraged to go fishing.
The project, conducted over several months, involved the formation and distribution of five different surveys for the purpose of collecting angling engagement data from over 12,000 people. Collection and further analysis followed, implementing follow-up interviews and focus group events, acting to consolidate the data and expand on the insight that we were able to give to the Angling Trust.
The report acted to inform the Trust about the ways in which they could improve on the numbers of people who participated in angling and importantly, highlighted what excellent work the Angling Trust are currently doing.
We continue to engage with the Trust and are working towards formulating another report for them, further evidencing their impact and helping them find new ways of engaging with the wider community.
